Namkeen Daliya/ Daliya Upma/ Vegetable Daliya


   Namkeen Daliya / Daliya Upma /
 Vegetable Daliya

                                                                                 


Ingredients: 
                                                                  
·         1 cup Daliya/ broken wheat                                                                           
    
        1 cup any vegetables of your choice or
 peas,cauliflower,beans

·         2 tablespoon chopped capsicum

·         2 tablespoon soaked Chana dal

·         1 onion chopped

·         1-inch Garlic, finely chopped

·         1 teaspoon cumin seeds

·         1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds

·         2 tablespoon Ghee

·         Salt, to taste

·         Red chili powder, a pinch

·         3 cups of water.

 METHOD


1.      In a pressure cooker add 1 teaspoon ghee and add 1 cup daliya then roast it for about 2 minutes on a medium flame
.
2.      Add 3 cups of water in the cooker and close the lid .cook till 1 whistle and then switch off the gas wait till the pressure releases
.
3.      In a pan heat 2 tablespoon ghee and then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds.

4.      Add garlic once it becomes brown then add chopped onions once onions are translucent then add Chana dal, vegetables.

5.      Fry the vegetables till becomes soft and add chili powder, salt as required.

6.      Add boiled Daliya mix and fry it for about 2 minutes

Namkeen Daliya is now ready.

Serve Hot.
